BK Bates has been in Greenwich real estate for over 30 years and is considered one of Greenwich's premier Realtors. In 2008, she was one of the top 25 performing Sotheby's International Realty agents and ranked in the top 100 brokers in the United States by The Wall Street Journal/LORE. She has repeatedly been the top agent within Sotheby's International Realty Greenwich office and is consistently one of the top agents within the Greenwich real estate community.

BK has been involved with hundreds of real estate transactions, representing both sellers and buyers and all ranges of the price spectrum. She has represented many prestigious properties and most recently handled the sale of one of the most desirable waterfront properties in Greenwich. Friendly, knowledgeable and successful, she has a strong belief in providing full and complete service to her clients. She is known for her strong involvement with all aspects of the sales process and has vast experience with the legal community and other professional services including inspectors, appraisers and mortgage brokers, among others.

Born and raised in Greenwich, BK has a lifetime of experience with all aspects of this wonderful community. She has raised three children and has been involved in numerous organizations and club activities. Her extensive knowledge of town activities and real estate issues benefits all her clients.

John Bates is a fourth generation real estate agent in the town of Greenwich. He is prepared to achieve his clients' goals. With over a decade of experience, John has listed and sold a wide range of properties from multi million dollar waterfront homes to high end new construction. John has strength in buyer and seller representation and has negotiated and closed a range of home purchases and sales from condominiums, land purchases, single family and multi family properties.

A graduate of the Greenwich Country Day School and of Greenwich High School, John has an intimate understanding of both the community's public and private school systems. He received a BA from Lynchburg College.

With experience in the home improvement business, he is able to recognize the potential of a home as well as certain problems that an inexperienced eye may overlook. Having the ability to navigate the Town Hall and its various departments such as Planning and Zoning, Wetlands, the Building Department and Health Department, John can be effective in researching a specific property.

Working with Sotheby's International Realty, Greenwich's number one realty firm in sales volume, John offers powerful and effective marketing programs that supply local, national and global exposure.

John Bates Sr. joins BK and John as a team member. John has been in real estate for over ten years. Previously, he had been a senior marketing executive and as a result also brings a strong sense of client orientation. John assists BK and John in promoting their listed properties. He is skillful in developing materials for each property including custom photography for use on various web sites and other vehicles.  In addition to the many materials provided by Sotheby's, he develops extensive packages for each property to provide to prospective buyers. He also provides backup for client showings, open houses and other day-to-day activities so the sales process moves forward expeditiously.

BK , John and John Sr. are members of the National Association of Realtors, the Connecticut Association of Realtors, the Greenwich Association of Realtors and the Greenwich Multiple Listing Service. BK currently serves on several professional committees.
